No mechanical engineering without Dejond Metals

At least, that's how they see it at Komec Helsen. As a renowned supplier of machine construction, the company has relied on Dejond Metals for 40 years. Getting the right materials delivered is what it's all about.

Of those 40 years, our colleague Judith has already experienced 36 as Sales Support with aluminium specialisation. That's a long time - to be proud of. "From the beginning it was right," she says. "It's plenty of two-way communication, both sides are always looked at. What do you need and how can we respond to that in the best possible way. Everyone knows his stile."

Komec Helsen's business, however, is no mean feat. Everything revolves around high-tech designs, ultra-precise metalworking, super-fine mechanics and cutting-edge mechanical engineering. CNC milling, bending, punching, welding, engraving, turning... the experts at Komec can do it like the best of them.

Customisation does the magic

What do they mainly buy? "Mainly aluminium, both sheets cut to size and round bars that we can cut ourselves," Patrick Peirlinckx continues. He is Production Manager at Komec Helsen. "The metals that then come from your Metal Service Centre or from our own sheet-metal working end up in constructions and mechanical pieces."

Depending on ongoing projects, bronze and brass are also part of the order book. For example, Komec Helsen makes machines for a company with 230 production lines worldwide. You don't replace these machines in one go, investments are spread out and that machine build is now running for another 2 years. For that, Dejond supplies brass with thickness 40 cut from sheet metal for a kind of cooling block.

"Super convenient that we can order exactly the thickness and length we urgently need at any given time. That's truly bespoke," says Patrick. "Furthermore, we buy Tubtara® blind rivet nuts and press-in elements. By the way, we also use a Dejond machine for stud welding on sheet metal. Thoroughly satisfied with it. Your proximity is also a huge plus. We can always jump in the car and consult.
